Poetry

(Compensatory)

enjoying life more (accidentally,
be assured) a state

like that of an understudy
contemplating illness overtaking
the lead) seems not to be
conducive to worthwhile
poetry leaving me to
lean heavily on parenthesis
(eschewing) punctuation
as a compensatory measure
